THIS MORNING WILL be gloomy until 11 a.m., when a few stray misleading rays of hope will set us up for the crushing disappointment of the afternoon. A strong depression will move into the area overnight, extinguishing any lingering remnants of the moderate good cheer we enjoyed over the weekend. Weather spotters are advised to follow standard procedures by staying in bed with the covers pulled over their eyes.
