According to a study published by the United States Bureau of Drama Statistics, the sheer numbers of the world’s population make it statistically certain that there are, living among us now, at least two dozen dramatists of the caliber of Euripides, Shakespeare, or Moliere; but the world will never know who they are, because all the best talent of the age is being squandered on superhero movies.

  1. The idea that Joss Whedon, screenwriter/director of the current Superhero Blockbuster “The Avengers”, is one of those dramatists on a par with the all-time greats, will get no argument from this Firefly fanboy.

  2. It’s hard to be original with 5,000 years of precedence.
