ON THIS DAY in 1261, the Byzantine Greeks finally recaptured Constantinople from the coalition of frat boys, party animals, and small-time hoodlums who had unaccountably mistaken the city for Jerusalem  in 1204.

  1. So what’s wrong with the Byzantine Geeks and why are they acting like a bunch of bullys? I’ve know Geeks all my life and they seem to be pretty quiet people who spend most of their days looking at computers and Harry Potter movies.
