JAPANESE ROBOTICS ENGINEER Dr. Memento Mori announced at a press conference this morning that he had perfected a process for uploading a copy of the human soul into a lifelike but virtually indestructible robot, creating a potential for near-immortality for the purchasers of Dr. Mori’s Robot Me brand psychic interface units. During the demonstration, however, an unfortunate power interruption left the demonstrator robot loaded with only that part of Dr. Mori’s soul that liked strawberry ice cream. In the ensuing ice-cream-fueled robot rampage, most of Tokyo was leveled.
