ON THIS DAY in 1787, Delaware became the first state to ratify the United States Constitution. Since that time nothing further has been heard of this supposed “state,” and many constitutional scholars privately suspect that the entire framework of our government rests on a sophomoric hoax.

  1. In 1987, Delaware celebrated the fact that it has been a state for 200 years by having the entire state carpeted. In DuPont Stainmaster.

  2. Screen doors were installed around the entire perimeter and Joe Biden personally bought every resident of the state a beer.
