THE WELL-KNOWN but secretive East-End restauranteur Peter Piper was seen yesterday at Stamoolis Brothers in the Strip carefully selecting a quarter-bushel of peppers preserved in vinegar.

  1. This leaves me still quite curious as to what was the absolute number of individual peppers contained within the quarter bushel that Mr. Piper had selected?

    I’m going to go out on a limb here and say he picked a peck. That’s just a wild guess on my part though.
